Proceeds will benefit student scholarships
Chesapeake, Va.— Selected Hampton Roads students will benefit from proceeds raised by the 2nd Annual "Sip for Scholarships" fundraiser to be presented by the Chesapeake-Virginia Beach Delta Foundation (CVBDF) on Friday, May 19, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at The Mermaid Winery Tasting Room located at 330 W. 22nd Street, Unit 105, in Norfolk. Tickets, which cost $35, include a cash bar and heavy hors d'oeuvres. A silent auction, featuring a variety of thematic items, will also be a part of the event.
"We are dedicated as an organization to educating, enriching and empowering our community," said Rhonda Corprew, Chair of the CVBDF Board. "This fundraiser will help us raise the funds necessary to support one of our education-related initiatives."
The Foundation plans to award three $750 scholarships in June to selected Hampton Roads students. To purchase a "Sip for Scholarships" ticket, visit eventbrite.com. To learn more about CVBDF, visit cvbdf.org.
