Job seekers will learn interviewing skills, how to complete an application, how to prepare a resume, and other job-search related skills during “Tools for Success”—a Job Skills Workshop being presented by the Chesapeake-Virginia Beach Delta Foundation (CVBDF) in partnership with ForKids , Inc. and Dress for Success Hampton Roads. The workshop will take place Saturday, October 15, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at ForKids, located at 4200 Colley Avenue, #A, in Norfolk.
“The workshop is at the core of the Foundation’s mission to educate, enrich, and empower our community,” said CVBDF Foundation President Deidre Eason.
During the workshop, attendees—who are ages 18 and up and pursuing employment—will also participate in a Recruiters’ Forum, where they can learn what companies seek from potential employees. In addition, female participants will receive a session with Dress for Success Hampton Roads to get fitted for a professional suit/dress.
